Summit 2024 Event Recap

The WSIA’s 18th annual Summit returned to the beautiful Everline Resort & Spa in North Lake Tahoe. A snow storm the weekend prior made for excellent conditions on the mountain. Summit 2024 was filled with collaboration, networking, and insightful presentations by our speakers.

Summit Day 1 started with a grab-n-go breakfast before spending some time together on the mountain.

We officially kicked off our programming at lunch, featuring one of our guest speakers Hunter Thane, host of the Grab Matters podcast.

After our committee meetings, we had our first networking reception before Dinner.

After dinner, we heard from our keynote speaker, Dr. Christopher Thornberg, internationally recognized economist and analyst. He delivered in insightful presentation on trends and predictions for our industry.

Thursday afternoon brought us to our breakout sessions which included: industry open mic, The 5 Seasons of Boating, Our Shared Investment in Grassroots Advocacy, Boating Law Administrator Panel, and an Industry Interview hosted by Hunter Thane.

Thursday evening we moved into our networking reception, followed by the annual Leadership Awards, honoring the best people, products and companies in the water sports industry.
