The Clean Boating Act of 2008 (S.2766) was PASSED by both the House of Representatives and the US Senate and on 7-22-08 it was signed by President Bush. This legislation will permanently restore a long standing exemption for recreational boats from permitting requirements under The Clean Water Act.

Orlando, FL - The third annual WaterSports Industry Association (WSIA) Leadership Awards were held at Surf Expo on Friday, September 14, 2007 in front of more than 700 anxious onlookers.

In a historic move to expand the representation of its members, the Water Sports Industry Association announces that it has earned a seat on the National Boating Safety Advisory Council.
